<b>Behind the Designs...</b>
Leah Leones is the painter-turned-handbag designer behind Buttertart's fresh baked handbags. Although she is the "jill of all trades" for Buttertart, she credits all the beautiful, strong, & amazing women in her life as the inspiration behind the line. without them, the Buttertart dream could not have been realized.
Leah has been creating in one form or another since a very young age. From painting and photography to ceramics and sculpting she has always had the desire to create. As an abstract expressionist, Leah created mixed media paintings out of her home in Southern California. Due to her success, many of her original paintings now hang in homes throughout California. Always wanting to try something new, her creative desires soon evolved and with the guidance from her maternal grandmother, Lydia, she was introduced to sewing and designing. A move from her home in Southern California to beautiful British Columbia created the perfect opportunity to truly flex her creative skills and thus Buttertart was born! now back in Southern California she's ready to get all you crafty fashionistas fully accessorized!

A Buttertart is a sweet pastry treat originating in Canada. The best buttertarts were made by Muriel Brushett, better known as, Grandma B. each warm, sugary tart was baked fresh with care and love. Although the ingredients may be familiar, the treats as a whole are unforgettably unique. Leah's approach to handbag design and creation are one and the same, with these loving thoughts in mind, she deemed her new line of one of a kind handbags, Buttertart.
